I'm not familiar with Weller. The thing that most often causes the damage in your diff is a spinning wheel, so if in doubt lock the interlock when going off road, especially with air ride suspension.
-
what do you torque the bolts to that holds the chunk in
-
75 ft lb range.
-
I'm having a similar (if not identical) problem. Did changing the differential solve your problem?
-
Well, I can answer my own reply now. I changed the front differential and it seemed to help it some but the truck is still shaking. HELP!
-
if you had a bad shake in the drive train and had to change the front rear look and make sure you didnt lose the drive shaft counter balance wieght. i did this on y 01 fld and i replaced the back rear carrier bearing all new u joints got to my ends with it and was about to send it to a shop and take a vaction when a older guy told me to look for the weight got it rebalanced and no more shakes. hope you get this lucky
-
Had a shake like that and turned out when i went off road to deliver a load of pipe i tweaked the leveling rod and it lowered the ride height by an inch. Bent it back and smooth rolling again.
-
OK, thanks guys. The ride height is not the culprit. I've checked and played with it and rechecked it. But there does seem to be a place on one of the drive shafts where a weight may have been. Gonna check that out.

Check all the ujoints, center bearing and slip yokes. Also, inspect all your wheels to make sure you don't have one that is cracked.
