The cost in essentially removing the DPF, sensors, piping, and reworking the ECM would be outrageous. I second the 389 glider kit idea.

I agree with a glider if someone is going for a 389. A solid pre-emissions engine that will perform better and most likely last longer and will cost less overall to maintain.
However, a brick nose would not be my choice only because to me a truck is a just a tool to get a job done at the lowest operating cost to me. With fuel the highest cost (and going up each week), that means I have to have some sort of aerodynamics to keep that cost managable. Doesn't mean that someone else is an idiot for getting one, but if it will cause you to live on baloney sandwiches, then it is probably not a good choice. -
