"I didn't see one piece of constructive help in this post." Yeah, Mike, let me guess. You are another one that thinks getting a CDL from one of these 'driver mills' is the way to go. Ok...fine. See what it gets you? FAIL. FAIL. FAIL.

The name of the school is The CDL School. They have schools in Menands, NY, Bronx, NY, and one in FL. The sad thing is they brag about their A+ rating with the better business bureau in FL. They cost: $6500@18% plus $1500 from WIA (federal job program). As for PDTI, I never heard of that until recently. I was recommended by the State of NY, so how was I to know the school was bad?

Easy? Nowhere in ANY of my posts did I say I thought it was going to be easy.

    OUCH!!

I must admit - what you are going through is my fear. Hubby is going through school now, but its more of a refresher for him since he was an O/O 20+ years ago... me - I'm a nurse - BIG change in professions!! I wish you the best on the next testing! Take a big breath, take your time and prayer does help.

Nope. Try again. They have a 10 day course, but you have to specifically apply to it. If you don't, you have to go home after failing and then go back. So, no other issues, failed road test, then sent home.

You know anybody who will help you practice?Sounds like you got screwed at school. You should let someone know who could investigate and help others not to get taken. Most trucks will shift with about 500rpms difference between gears. You dont have to go to higher rpm to shift, especially empty. When you double clutch don`t push the clutch pedal all the way to the floor-half or a little more.Just remember that everybody knows you are new,and doesn`t expect you to execute everything perfectly.Take your time,be calm.Don`t dwell on past performance,or others remarks for that matter. The person testing you may not be able to shift any better than you-alot of safety directors and other trucking execs can`t even drive so don`t let them make you nervous.Good Luck.
