Nothing at all, just this MVR stuff, I sure wish I knew I would be looking into a driving career at the time a got these tickets. I woulda been a lot more careful.

You should be fine. However, the cell phone thing has become a big issue. Once you start driving every day and paying closer attention to other drivers, you will truly see why; amazing that accident rates are not higher.

Yea, the disobeying the signal is the only moving violation. To be honest, you are the first person I've ever heard of actually getting a ticket and points for using a cell phone. It sounds like bad luck to me because nearly every car and truck driver that passes me are either texting or yaking on the phone. Even with the ear piece it's unsafe. Ive seen people using their phones and driving straight down the road at 9/mph tailgating and driving like they were Earnhardt. I've also seen people on the phone running off the both sides of the road in the middle of the desert. Neither one is safe but its clear to me that some are a lot more coordinated than others. To get back on subject. I think you'll be ok with one moving violation.

I no, and I actually had the person on speaker phone, but the officer didn't care. I was in NYC at the time, figures.

A careless driving is considered reckless in many states. It is often used in place of a dui to give someone a 2nd chance.[IMG]

Both the cell phone & traffic signal are moving violations...I think you can get a job...Don't get anymore tickets

Call the companies you're interested in and be totally upfront with the recruiters. They are the source of information for you.

And since using a cell phone is now prohibited for truck drivers, the companies might not look favorably on that. They might think you can't break a very bad habit.
