Try driving a straight truck for a while. I know a company that has guys drive box trucks from Austin to Dallas, then back again. A smaller Truck, no offtracking. Get really good at handling that, then go from there.
Stericycle pays their drivers well to handle biohazardous transportation. Smaller box trucks. One guy said he was earning 60k. Local stuff. Home everyday. Do that for a couple years. Get good at handling that Truck then go from there.

It doesn't really matter if the company you are applying to (or ones you've worked for in the past) uses DAC, Driver iQ/CARCO, or any other clearing house for driver history information or not.
All carriers are required by the FMCSA to create a driver investigation history file (391.53 eCFR — Code of Federal Regulations) that require them to among other things document the contact and reply's (or their lack of replying) from all former employers that you worked for as a CDL driver over the last ten years. Some employers use DAC to get as much of that information as possible but they have to make a good faith effort to contact those employers.
I guess you could try to omit an employer when applying (something checking a DAC report might catch if that company used DAC) but that is a violation of 391.21(10) and 391.21(11) and you would have to account for that time somehow. -

Your parents are highly toxic, and you need to cut them out of your life.
Repeat: Your parents are highly toxic, and you need to cut them out of your life. Whatever it takes.
Not forever, to be sure. Once you've unlearned the patterns of failure that they've saddled you with, and are confident being your own man, you'll be able to deal with them. But if you don't break the cycle you're trapped in, you'll never be able to understand where you are as a person and where you need to go to progress in life.
You know this is true. It's hard, but necessary. I know.
I'll keep you in prayer.TravR1 Thanks this. -
Several people in my family needed to be disposed of. As in seperating one self (Me) from them in life in a variety of ways that I will enjoy peace and quiet in my future years.
I remembered dealing with my first girlfiend in the deaf school, we were there on a dorm basis a week at a time, got to go home on weekends. However our valued time was with our girl (and vice versa boy friends for those who were girls) friends and our classmate friends. More family to us than our own siblings or parents.
When I was sent to public school as a State experiment or rather a trophy student saying here is a deaf person functioning well in Public School. I learned nothing there. At 13 I had learned then the entire offerings of Sexual Education and way beyond Approve curriculum of course study. All you needed then was a girlfriend (Or a boy friend for a girl) And when they (The teachers that be...) decided it was time for you to take the classes in that subject with your parental approval, you tell the teachers there is nothing for you to learn and one of you two are already on birth control.
Silence. They asked would you care to explain why you say there is nothing there for us to learn?
We told them that the coursework was approved by the Board after approval by the Parent Teacher Group after their biannual review to make sure nothing racy or lawbreaking pornographic etc got into the course work. They did not understand that once you and a female whom you both liked each other enough to explore that together in privacy away from any supervision at all either by the staff or by the parents. Poof all gone away. Not to mention fun.
They just about had a cow in those days. Fast forward 8 years And the system almost failed when it was understood that 4 girls were pregnant and it was lawful based on age for them to be (all 4 were 16 and their lovers were also 16, but not like 17 or even better 18 or older which would prosecute them for statuary rape etc. Remember as Students of the State school of the deaf, the State of Maryland was "In-loco parentis" which means while the student male or female was there on their school property and dorm each week, the State was responsible for adequate staffing and supervision to prevent pregnancies etc. It was obvious that one year they failed. They had more in the years to go including the first eventual prosecution in the Criminal Court when a 18 year old boy friend penetrated a 15 year old one night. The 15 year old girl enjoyed the flirting but way outside of her league or understanding of what was going to happen with that particular one.
(The State discovered it was cheaper to buy out the Pensions and existing staff at a rate in which newbie staff can be brought in with no pension for several years and a pay almost half those of the veterans. The Student body picked up on the vacanies really fast. And the situations that evolved that first year of staffing conservation of budgeting really got overrun in damage, costs and time spent on the resulting issues that required much more expertise of several agencies instead of just the dorm.
And so the State felt that they needed to start sending Middle school grades to that kind of coursework. Many parents objected. But due to the rash of new babies being born and thus charged to the State to raise in either adoption or wards of the State, it was also the people's problem.
A correctly administered course work of Health managed to discourage and eliminate that kind of problem the first complete year it was implemented. Before then since approximately 1862 or so absolutely nothing at all. So you can imagine the issues that came up with the times that came later.
Leaving history aside. I told my parents that I am going trucking have been working on the problem since I was 6 and it was inevitable. To make a long story short some were happy to see me go. There was nothing in Maryland at that time economically for me other than trucking or College. College was not exactly a perfect method to get a better job with the Government in either State or Federal in those days we were very close to bastions of power, but to sit and ride a desk like that one person in the subbasement with his favorite red stapler and saying he will burn the place down someday was not noticed by those who mattered until one day the place did burn down. (Milton I think was his name.)

vigilance (paying attention) comes naturally to me

not doing the above WILL result in preventablesWoodys Thanks this. -
Honey Transport out of Apopka FL, I heard they take drivers with less than remarkable records. However I haven't heard the best things about the company. They do mostly FL to the northeast and back including NYC. If your MVR is clear, you WILL be able to find work regardless of your work history ... you just have to pound the dirt some and take what you can get until you put a couple years of incident free driving. I know people who have rolled a truck their first year out and found another job within a couple months in FL. However, if and when you do get back on the road ... you should definitely re-evaluate your driving and how you handle stressful situations. Good luck
