In a 7 day work week it can be done on elogs. With Werner I use to do approx. 650 miles a day if the ld planners didn't get swap and split happy that is.If you don't stop and lolly gag you can do 600 miles easy in a slow trk.

I agree--but I think we are more discussin the question of can...like in my earlier post..when I run one of these 4.6/7k weeks--I usually jus do somethin short for a couple o days the next week and take a couple days off on each side..
Now as for in 5 days....first again everything has to be jus right--and there are many accounts that are..next you have to use every minute of the day(BTW--we have 3 runs like this..I have more than enuff seniority to take one--jus dont wanna work that hard either--leave it fer the kids--lol)
    OK w/todays rules--and 1/2 break--an 11 hr shift takes a minimum of 11 3/4 grs(1/2 break-1/4 pre or post--I know some say jus flag..but ill use the 1/4 for this example.
Startin at Midnite monday--and runnin 11:45 then takin ten then again--you get 6--11 hour shifts--66 hrs w/1/4hr pre/fuel--or flag and combine vi-fule w/1/2 hour break....physically those does run you 1/2 past midnite fri nite or sat morning...now at only a 60 mph avg that is 3960 miles...so technically you're 40 miles short--
BUT--I used 60 as an easy to attain example...now take that to Iowa--run west or north--all 70/75 mile states and still run easy--jus avg 65x66 hrs=4290....so 4k is VERY doable--Yes it is midnite monday morn to midnite fri nite,,,,but that is 5 days w/4hours to spare...
    Jus sayin,,,,,,:)

I think it's more doable now that the 34 hour reset restrictions are gone. So if you got back at 6am on Saturday, you can run at 4pm on Sunday now, rather than having to wait until 5am on Monday.

    icepick and pattyj Thank this.

Sounds like you n I went to different schools together old hand , lol. I run like that because my stuff is seasonal {flowers}.from end of march till xmas eve 3 to 8 stops a day. I use a lift gate so I don't have to bother with docks usually. Then I sleep for 3 months then repeat.

At my current company they have a line haul run, Davenport IA to Owatanna MN, 595 mi round trip. in a 65 mph truck it takes 4hr45min to get there and the same to return, it is an easy run no traffic and drop and hook a set of doubles. Throw some snow in there though and it makes it tough to get back to home terminal. Run pays $280.00 a night to bad I can not get it 5 nights a week though.

Not every day now but on occasion I am currently employed at a division of UPS freight hauling Honda auto parts. Did a short stint at UPS (package) seasonal and let me tell you if those clowns call me and offer me a job permanently I am going to turn them down. If you would like to know more about them PM me. Before they (UPS) talked me into coming over there, I pulled doubles for the dept store Von Maur. Very good company (Von Maur) but I thought the grass would be greener at brown so wrong that job sucks. Oh well life goes on going to do the local thing for a while get some work done on my house and it is back to the road for me this fall.

Im glad i'll have a dedicated route.I'm sure ill have plenty of questions for you and ill pm you. That UPS package, was that a semi or route driver.I know route has a lot of stops and ecspects you to get them done every day and ontime.Think during a 12 hr shift it was like 75 stops.
