Dispatch has given up hope on routing her in. But....it goes like this, well I went into Kraft with 1/8 fuel in the refer, they kicked me out and made me get fuel (who knew, I guess that's what the load comments that say no less than 3/4 fuel when you go to Kraft meant), so now I missed my loading appointment and I'm a work in. So I fall asleep and the shipper didn't bother waking me up after I'm loaded. So now my day is spent, I'm allowed an extra 45 minutes to drive somewhere to park the truck.

That's as much as I'm going to get. This driver has sense been banned from 1 customer.

Wow, working with some real winners there Meltom. The best I can guess is maybe the previous company allowed 45 minutes of line 5 when out of hours and had to find a safe haven?

Probably, BTW this driver has had line 5 taken away for mis-use. I hear a lot of companies allow line 5 for that, I'll agree that unladen can be taken several ways, but I'm guessing that loaded isn't one of them.

    volvodriver01 Thanks this.

Conway allows line 5, but not when under a load. Other companies if needed you can contact safety so information can be added on your logs for verification of need to drive after HOS are up.

Personally if you can't get what you need done (drive and other time) then you need to look at how you manage your hours more.

We allow it, until you abuse it. then you need to ask for permission. I'd prefer to just do away with it. It would be easier, well it could be easier. We as a company need to do a better job communicating trip planning to our drivers, that would probably help.

Seems like they want seat warmers there from some of his posts.

we've set a new policy where we don't fire people. We try to "save" everyone. so if you're a bad employee with a good driving record give me a shout.

It's not the people you fire that give you the most problems. It is those you don't:biggrin_25525:

Preaching to the choir, I'm tired of explaining what a good loss is.
