Tuoche... I will concede that being restricted to say the eastern side of the Mississippi would make it much more difficult to get these kinds of miles. And to be honest, I wouldn't want to run 3000 miles a week all east of the Mississippi... I'd probably pull all my hair out.

Lol it does get to be a pain...it takes a little bit more strategy some days than others. I do miss the days of the open road. We are licensed for all 48 but they prefer to stay where the freight volume is thicker. When I get a load to Nebraska or Colorado, that's a treat lol

@bryan21384 Lol... Yeah I bet that is a treat... Somewhere with some open road where you can actually take a second to enjoy the scenery... Without being so worried about all the idiots on the road. As soon I I get to Joliet, IL my stress level begins to rise... And god give strength for the occasional days where I go through Chicago Land and Cinncinati both in the same day, unless one of those places in the dead of night I hate days like that.

My most common loads are from Texas to somewhere in Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, or New York. 80% of my loads are east of I 35. I routinely run at least 3500 miles. I agree that strategy is required. It helps when you know your routes and also know where you have reliable parking so that you can run down to the wire when necessary.

Lol Joliet is a treat too....only because if the truck stop that has those big beef sandwiches and gyros...right across from the pilot. The stress level will rise if I drive through there during daylight

Now imagine dealing with that on a daily basis, and you'll understand my world. Haha

I logged 749 miles in 10 hrs and 59 min from Lincoln nebraska to wyoming. 71 mile an hr governor. 30 min break 22 min refuel. Never got out the truck any other time. I see on here everyone says it cant be done I just got back in a truck after 5 years and I consistently hit 600 plus to and from Seattle from Illinois. On 3 occasions each trip I hit 700 plus between nebraska into wyoming. But I dont stop and I set it 71 maxed out and just drive only stopping for 30 min break and fuel if needed 5.9 mpg. Another trucker said I had to be in violation to do that. I ran 10hrs 59 min stopped and PC 1 mile to parking pull off.

Once a week I run a 1200 mile roundtrip run from Michigan to Murfreesboro Tennessee.

Just pulled in to Murfreesboro with 50 minutes left on my Drive clock. That was a good day.

Last couple runs I have seeked safe Haven in personal conveyance to get me to the yard.

I don't pull off the interstate but once during the trip to fuel and take my 30 minute break. Kick my clock To on duty as soon as I get out of motion.

My elog doesn't kick into drive until I am 5 minutes down the interstate.

Couple pee breaks in a bottle on the way with 2 minute rest stop breaks.

    I call BS legally

I am in a ungoverened truck hauling the mail down 65 through Kentucky and Tennessee.

Construction speed zones are still a time killer

Running open road is completely different than running all points east of I-35

24 is a nightmare usually. You can't get in that Pilot after 3 in Murfreesboro, but there is some across the street.
