48' versus 53' Reefer

    Get the 53'. It's exceedingly rare that I get a load that wouldn't fit on a 48' but a ton of loads "require" you have a 53'. I don't think you will save that much up front and you'll get the initial investment back when you go to sell. I'll also add to make sure whatever trailer you buy has a good unit on it. A reefer trailer with a troublesome/unreliable reefer unit is about as valuable as a snow shovel in hades!

    Cut roses pay extremely well and are lightweight loads. 48' is obsolete.

    Thanks, if it was only me, I'd probably take a chance with a 48'er, but since there's another person in the mix, I want to try to take what I'm sure he feel is good advise.
