    Hi,
I'm trying to decide on whether to get a 48' fixed spread axle combo or a 52 foot step deck..
Obviously the 52 footer will get more loads from say a load board and I know I could use load levelers on the 48 to get more loads (or a dove tail that levels out at the end 4 foot) but I'd rather not go thru the hassle or expense of those add ons. Plus I worry that the dove tail being lower at the rear might get damaged going on a driveway or something like that...

So my question is basically this: do you think there will be a lot more work for a 52 over a 48? The 52's are a bit harder to find used and more expensive so just wondering if its really worth it.

Why do you think the the 53’ is harder to find and more expensive?

Is it because they generate less revenue than a 48’ trailer?
