Here's something else to think about.
At this point doing another lease amounts to about 2 more yrs of lease payments, the rest of current and another 18 months on a new one.
You an only you know the reliability of your current truck. Yes the residsual on it maybe high but you wouldn't be trapped by a year an a half lease @ approx 54k
Buying out your current truck gives you some extra freedom in addition to being able to just putting on the open market or taking it down to a steelership and getting what ever you can and getting a large portion of that residual back and being able to do this when every you get ready to.
    Just something to think about.[/QUOTE]

Truck has been very dependable at 285k. I know I'm looking at some things in the near future, particularly DEF-related. But it has treated me well overall.

I think you can stay in your current ride and just extend the contract.........or you could buy mine. What you pay Schneider could be a paid for ride in 6 months or less.

Will they let you extend contract for 12 months? I would call and talk nicely to them.

You gonna extend out the truck you have for another year? They told me when i was doing L/P that was an option if I did a three year lease and liked the truck.

    48Packard Thanks this.

The rep I had told me when I first started that there are folks here that do nothing but one year leases, so shouldn't be an issue unless this also changed.

    48Packard Thanks this.

Just did the math.......if you extend your lease for another year, you will have paid over $170,000 for that truck (that you still won't own).
I ain't hatin' on you 48, or Schneider for that matter, but dammmm people

Buy the truck and in 1 year either sell it or put a driver in it.
