Do you know if the air supply to the transmission is regulated? During the swap I lost track of which hose went where in a few instances. It's an 18 speed.

Not from the tank. The regulator should be on the back of the transmission.

If you have an hour to kill this is a good explanation of how an Eaton air system works

Almost there. We have the headache rack back on and almost all the wiring done, all air lines connected and tested, the wet kit and pto are back on, coolant is inside the yellow thing in front, and we pressurized the oil system.

Batteries are in and connected - no sparks or fires! Pretty much down to the fuel tanks, quarter fenders, exhaust, fifth wheel plate, chain hangers, bumper, and hood!!!!!! Oh, and have to swap all the tires too.

Lot of work, but it’s probably pretty satisfying

It is, but the price of a lot newer truck doesn't look near so bad now. I'm afraid to tally up what we have into this, but at least I know what we have. Parts aren't bad but we have a bunch of time into it.

It definitely adds up. Especially if you value your time

Dang close now. Just need to put the hood on and swap tires. I know, the painted tanks and headache rack are butt ugly, but they were in such poor shape that polishing was out of the question, and I am out of time screwing with this #### thing.

I forgot to get a video when we first started it, but we had primed it to the pass-through fittings while it was still in the shop, so it only stumbled a tiny bit before clearing up.

Sounds decent to me. I was a bit worried that we might be low on oil pressure without changing the oil pump, but I think with the different spring retainer we will be ok. This is cold oil but ambient was about 88 degrees, and this was at idle.

Hopefully it will drop once the oil is hot......we'll see!
