Training pay can very, but whatever you guys settle on will be what you get paid weekly before deductions.

I was out with a trainer for 3 days and they paid me $400 for the whole week. $400 is indicated "training" on my check.

Training pay can very wildly with them. I have seen 400$ on some of my students all the way up to 800$, it depends on what is worked out and the circumstances it falls under.

Most companies pay very little for training because they also have to pay the trainer. The trainer is suppose to be awake and not driving during the training period. If the trainer is being paid a full wage then the trainees pay is taken right out of the bottom line. So $500 a week sounds fair. However, if the trainer is running the truck just like a team where both drivers do a full shift then the trainee is being shafted. All of which makes me glad that I never went out with a trainer. Of course, I hit a lot of things early in my career.

That's not really an option anymore, I'm definitely going to have to follow a different route. ;)

Your only in training a few weeks.
The more important question, is the miles, and trucks available, after training.
I always try to choose a company with newer trucks and features, like xm radio, direct tv, fridge, inverter etc, and no driver facing cameras.
Your going to spend lots of time, in the truck, if it breaks down, your not making any money.
