Is that the truck that hit triple digits on the GWB?

I think so, but when he passed me, I was so busy looking at the Marshall service black suburbans

I know you probably didn't see it, but a shop I worked for did some fabrication on his 9670. Right behind the cab we welded a hinge in the frame rails to keep the truck from bending them when he would wheelie.

He said the first time he wheelied the truck he had an aluminum windbreaker on top. The windbreaker hit the trailer behind him and bent it up, creating the modern day turbo wing.
He was well known as the Southern Faker.

In a recession, you gotta make ends meet. Like they say, poor folks got poor ways, so if a broker calls me and needs two 45k coils moved, I tell him to book it.

If my flatbed is already being used, I will come with my four bolster.

Well the bolsters might be a good idea with that big of a slitter coil.

The art work and style remind me of a couple TTR legends, or out of work bumbs.

Are you running helium suspension on the truck? I noticed you had 2 40k coils on but you had the lift axle up. When I ran the AG400 8 bag air ride on my kenworth, I converted over to helium and got rid of compressed air.

I could load 80k easily on the deck of my Ravens aluminum flatbed and float the Michigan scales on 75 just north of the Ohio line. I thought I'd be cool and put an air ride steer axle under when I upgraded, but I did realize it would keep the front end so light. 10 air bags on the tractor and 4 on the trailer, all helium filled, the dang thing would literally float across scales if you were light.

On this set up I have a chain holding up the axle, those are 18 ply tires so they can handle the weight even with the lift up. My old trailer had a pin welded on the rub rail at the rear, and i had a headache rack mounted winch.
If I was empty I just tightened the cable up until all 8 wheels were off the ground, i gained 2 mpg and the tires lasted 1 million miles. I never thought to try helium though.

It’s not poor ways. You make do with what you have. That’s the path to success. I had a pallet business when I was in my late 20’s. I was the pallet king of the desert southwest west until chep moved in. I didn’t have a cdl at the time, but I had something to prove. I wanted to show the world that my generation was a lot better than the old timers talk like. I bought a ford F150 with a Bobby Labonte built 302 and set out to make my fortune. This picture was taken when I was delivering pallets to the Bosley hair group. upload_2023-4-7_7-58-42.jpeg

That sounds a lot like me. I wanted to get into trucking right out of high school so I bought a flatbed dually from a rodeo. I went with a wedge style trailer, my only rule was I drove it up on the trailer, not the shipping customer. That diamond plate was tough, still looked new when I sold it.
