Meh. Pulled many of them. No big deal on a quality, aluminum flatbed with coil package.

Yeah but look at the time you're gonna have invested. Just isn't worth it.

How much time do you estimate? Then, look at what long haul trucking pays per hour, compared.

Your viewpoint is the problem with this. When drivers don’t see a huge gross number, they automatically dismiss it. But, let’s look at a multi-day deal. Let’s say: 2400mi at $4800. Most drivers would look at that as a better deal. But, it’s equipment tied up for at least 4 days (~96hrs), one way, depending on appointments. It’s gone overnight at least 8 days. There’s way more invested than this single coil.

Again, if a driver could negotiate 10 big singles per week, it’s $5K, in 5 days. No hassles. Even better would be to negotiate the broker OUT of the scenario. Now, one would have a pretty good gig.

Buy a coil well trailer, then, rock and roll.

If its in and out I can see it. Lots of processing plants in area of NE ohio are notoriously slow and "A-Holes" about wasting time and ruining your day. Majestic steel ferrous metals etc.

It might have been a tad heavier, ;) dropping off a set of mill rolls and bringing back a new set

There are plenty of guys who do this cheap. So my price is mine only. 1100 bucks. I would want 2-3 a day.

I'd rather moonlight 2 40's going as 80k each than a 70 single. Big singles are hard on trailers. If your gonna be stupid, you need to be profitable.
