It's one of the best kept secrets in trucking, most don't know about the U-Haul option.

We should delete this thread before they become hard to find!

As of now I can get one in about 20 minutes....shoot over to Kenmac.....get that crabby ### guy to rear load me...and roll out!

I would hate to let down a broker and/or coil place because these dang things start getting rented out all the time!

Saw this one rolling outta the steel mill yesterday. Someone said he had a 40K coil loaded suicide and broke a chain. The coil rolled to the rear and the steer axle got light. He lost it and ended up on the barriers.

I recently leased on to Amazon. But I am also doing Uber. Uber wouldn’t let use my Amazon van. Something about the optics of riding around Sacramento in a white econoline asking people at the airport if they want a ride. So I was able to get a waiver at both companies for this setup.

When the pandemic hit, it really took its toll on the steel mills. While others saw downturn, I saw an opportunity. So I started renting Uhaul trucks with liftgates to make residential coil deliveries.

A lot of steel workers took the free pandemic government funds and opened up fabrication shops at home. I would deliver up to 50k lb coils to their porch or driveway and upharge 29.95 for the trouble, covering the daily cost of the truck.

Here is a 40k coil I delivered to someone's porch and left without needing a signature.
