Too much grease is worse than not enough. Too much becomes glue. Layer upon layer. Dirt and water constantly mixing with grease is bad. Not many folks remove the old grease before applying new. Old contaminates new in minutes and becomes sticky in the wrong way. Remove old grease like everyone said and don’t over grease it.
