A trailer can also sit on a fifth that is almost flush on lower stands and be taller in the rear depending on tire sizes. See this with a lot of trailers with tall 24.5’s.

That will work best, since plate will be level. 47” is usually 13.5” with a dry van. 48” is usually ok too. Usually puts you right at 13’6”. My Trucks have all had 24.5 lo pro, and Holland low mount 5th wheels. You can probably just change the risers, if yours are too high. Put new rubber bushings in while you’re at it. Only way to know is to measure it. Prop it level with a 2X4 if you don’t have a trailer to hook to. 48” or less from top of plate ( or apron of trailer), you’ll be at or less than 13’6

So I just checked mine, hooked to my empty 53’ dry van. It’s 47 and 5/8 “. It’s probably 13’5,5/8”. overall. Anyway, never had a problem.

David Poe, 58, of Independence, Kentucky, was working at GXO Logistics when the semi hit him around 3 p.m., according to Kenton County Police.

The semi was backing up to a parked trailer at a loading dock when it hit Poe, police explained.

The 58-year-old GXO Logistics employee died at the scene.

Well thanks for telling my from my own research I should be fine. OMG , I am asking if anyone knows the answer for sure. my research only tells me what opinions are, nobody has said absolutely that they know it is ok and that if your 5th wheel is at 47 or below your trailer will be at X. Thanks Mr. Obvious. Don't mean to be rude but really!!!
