    If the company is asking about 5th wheel height because they pull vans and reefers then I’d hazard a guess that they would have a box for you to measure at their yard. Height of the box plus height of your 5th wheel and you have your answer.

    You know you could just ask them what measurement is acceptable...

    Maybe explain that you are looking at a new fifth wheel and want to know if it's acceptable.

    I have no idea how tall a tall van trailer is (I don’t pull vans), but it should be easy enough to find one sitting somewhere and measure it. Add however tall the trailer is to your 5th wheel height.
