Crazy thing is you know darn well that most mechanics are more qualified than the workers assembling the new one lol.

These were the guys who could fix anything. They might rebuild a CAT pump and set timing advance today, rebuild a transmission tommorow, then be doing a corner radius on a trailer the third day.
You just don't find those hands around my area anymore.
Something crazy though. There's more mechanical knowledge on this forum, than you can find in all of the dealerships in my area.
The ability to see symptoms and diagnose from there has been lost -
Noobtr, D.Tibbitt and Big Road Skateboard Thank this.

General liability would never cover mechanic defect or accident. Auto livability would. GL is one of the most useless insurance. Yes I have it, per 2 customers. They can't explain why they require it. My agent even tried to explain it to them. Big corporations, don't care.
GL will basically cover you when You have a facility that people come and go regularly and someone could be hurt. Short version.
Nothing wrong with rebuilding one. Probably have done hundreds, like new if the proper care is followed.
But yes, his adjustment does need checked before condemning it. -
As I stated before, I'm talking GL as a shop owner, not an O/O. I may not have made that clear in previous postD.Tibbitt, jamespmack and Noobtr Thank this. -
Got you. I might have misinterpreted it. I read at a freshman level.D.Tibbitt Thanks this.
