Huh,, what? Maybe I'm missing something, but your post confuses me.
First you say you have no dump valve (ok), but then you go on to say you have to uncouple and "let the air bags drain a little" (how do you drain them without a dump valve?).

I think he was being funny....as a stationary 5th wheel can usually be moved by unscrewing the bolts that hold the 5th to the frame of the truck and moving it forward or back to where you want it to be.....not done very often, but it can be done. My brother has one like that and he pulls the same grain trailer behind it all the time, so he would never move the 5th wheel any way, as he can control how the trailer is loaded.
