If you pull flat it is what you want. Bit long for van.
-
It's fine. The truck will be a little more versatile for you.
Big_D409 Thanks this. -
For instance?
-
Van sometimes? Too much air gap?
-
That would be the prob for a van. But as mentioned if you pull anything else you might want that.
-
Headache rack, Hose rack, tool box? Some states give a little more weight depending on overall length, could end up pulling a flat etc. There's more options to trucking than just pulling a van.
-
Wouldn't say it's too long for any application. Mine is a 232" WB and that's with a 77" sleeper. My father currently runs a 260" WB, pulling dry van and reefers.
All about how your setup is when maneuvering. Unless the space you are trying to fit into is physically smaller than your combo. -
Definitely not too long.
Even with 379 a common truck in Canada was 63" sleeper with 244" wb. An excellent setup for weight distribution and not so long a wheelbase it is difficult to drive. We are limited to 244 without permit - for another discussion.
That should be a good truck. Get bunk extenders if you want to close the gap a bit. -
Thanks everybody
