Measured from where to where? I've had a lot of trucks in my life and while I can't remember the measurements fir all if them, I do for the last two. My columbia pulling a 48 ft flat was 69 feet 8 inches bumper to bumper. This classic xl with the same trailer is 72' 10". Obviously that can change a bit depending on current fifth wheel placement but those are the measurements for where I like to put the fifth wheel at, just far enough forward I can get some weight on the steers yet not so far forward I can't over hang the front a foot when needed.
65' Max Length

The w900 I'm driving seems long. Because the sleeper is missing. 25 feet just seems long though. I'll have to measure it.
I'm in the process of moving. Somewhere I've got notes of Az measurements. The second cascadia was 3 feet longer as the boss wanted to avoid permits if possible. Worked out good for 60ft trusses. Not so much with rebar. -
Big Texas Transport Thanks this.

I have a Chevy Silverado 3500 long bed.
With the LoadTrail straight 40’ trailer (no monster ramps, etc)
I’m surprisingly exactly 65’ on the dot.Lite bug, Bean Jr. and Big Texas Transport Thank this. -
Big Texas Transport, did you find a trailer? We have all of our trailers built with a shorter neck to keep us within the 65’ limit. If you need some help with this, shoot me a PM.
some was was talking about measurements not counting the front bumper. That front bumper will be included when measured by the DOT.
if you’ve already acquired a trailer that puts you over the 65’ limit. There’s reasonably low costa solution for that also, without giving up any deck space. That is depending on exactly how much over length you are.Tekna, Big Texas Transport and Lite bug Thank this. -

I went with a ram crew with an 8 foot bed before I knew about the laws and had to settle for a 38 foot trailer from Anderson Manufacturing. A 40 put me 10 inches over.
