I've been on 65 for two weeks now and can't believe how many companies governed their trucks even lower!!!

Last night before my truck has it's vasectomy. :-(

Actually got a decently long run on Friday and I used every possible instance of going better than 65 and actually passing people. .

we shall see what Monday night brings.

Yep. If they could stay out of a court room for five minutes they wouldn't be imposing these things. I see more fed ex wrecks than even swift.

Dude fedex has been doing that for over a decade. I don't know the exact numbers but just from observation in the areas i run, i see twice as many contractor trucks as i do company trucks.

This is my problem with fedex. The culture of the company has been drive dangerously. Routes are so tight that the drivers are pressured to drive like maniacs.

If they had a culture of driving safe, this speed limiter rule would have absolutely zero effect on operations.

Less than 24 hours to go. Now's a good time to run the truck balls out before it gets neutered.

It's more FedEx's "time is money" culture that is the root of the problem, with the company penalizing contractors if they are even 1 minute late.

That's just monster corporate abuse. 650 miles on an 11 hour clock is not a realistic number, it takes a non cdl holder to come up with that nonsense. These guys need to tell them they are going to follow the law and traffic conditions, or they won't be driving at all. I have told a company that myself. I run dump truck but it's no different, I'm not speeding for anyone. I'm not killing anyone. I won't be the next trucker charged for manslaughter. Drive like a professional or not all

That wouldn't be a problem if they were dispatched with spare time but many of these routes are so tight that a guy can't even stop to take a leak or he had to run like a wild man to make up for it.

I've never had that problem here at Fedex. They always give the driver enough time. People drive like maniacs because they want to
