I used my outrigger boards and couldn’t get all of my D rings flipped up. So I hooked to the upper flange a few places. What is the rule about doing this?
65k, 4 chains, good to go

I also use the flange but like has been said. Put the hook next to something to keep it from sliding.snowman_w900, Humblepie, Oxbow and 1 other person Thank this. -
I wouldn’t have put the back chain there either. If for no other reason than it will chip the paint up on what looks like a new machine.

The back chain is a no go.
Per our Volvo dealer ,only use the tie down lug. You can run 2 chains thru it on each side.snowman_w900, Humblepie, johndeere4020 and 2 others Thank this. -
I‘m going to take the liberty of a side step here. I’ve got to agree with @johndeere4020 on making the man prove it by the book or shut up and move on. If we stood our ground as we should, we might not get hassled just to be hassled by some idiot cop. Those who actually waste their time adding extra securement to keep the leos off their case, might just find life easier and more profitable.
This could also be applied to our everyday life. Imo, if they wear “blue” they think their sheet doesn’t stink.black_dog106, johndeere4020, Oxbow and 2 others Thank this. -
cke Thanks this.
