Anyone have a good site for a mounting bracket that will hold a 6ft. Seem like all I see is for 4 and 5ft. And also whats the best cord and connections for this set up. I will be using a cobra 29 LX.

Rg8 coax will work well.

Need more info. What kind of truck are you mounting it on? Be careful, a 6 ft whip can stick up past the 13'6" mark. RG59 or RG8X with both work fine.

More I think about it, a 5ft would be better, its going on a 1999 dodge 2500. Im mounting it center of tool box 4ft of a five foot antenna, now that I measure would be over the cab. If I have problems setting it up I have a plan to raise the antenna so the base would be right above the rear window. But first it will be mounted on the tail gate side of the box.

Hank Breedlove's Machine Shop has by far the best mounts on the market... If you don't see what you need, just give Jerry a call, and he can custom build you anything...
