i must have the same luck as freightlinerfever11 i can't get 6 new injector to run ether ive had three sets of remans and two sets of new injectors and yet to have them last more couple of months but the ones that came in the truck lasted 800000 miles

Every time they are removed or replaced you run the risk of contamination. if it aint broke don't fix it usually is the best way to look at it.
I see it so often when guys do a head change out and then they have injector problems after, yet the injectors were fine until the engine was opened... Contamination every time. Strip the injector and clean out the actuator and re Calibrate and they are good to go. as long as they are installed with Stress Cleanliness.
Lets face it some of us engineers can be absolute pigs and some can be over the top with cleanliness, I've see some guys wipe an injector 10 times with a piece of Rag so its spotless before fitting... not long and they are pulling it out again as a bit of lint made its way into the actuator. even the slightest shaving from an O ring on installation can come haunt you later down the Road..
The injector itself is quite honest and you have stated you had 800k and never touched them... yet once you changed them the problem started... sort of self explanatory really. -
lol yea they where changed but i didn't do the changeing the first time just don't seam to run with this cam i might have to go back to the stock cam maybe i could send you my injectors and have you work them like you did kurt's

Can it be fixed in any way? -
Depends on how brave you are!!!
you can remove it and strip it down and clean it out. -
-
what should it be cleaned with carb cleaner or something diff
-
well i also think i have a fuel heater leaking causing water in my fuel tanks which is hard on injectors so im going to get that fixed tonight because my fuel looks horrible

My 3406E was rebuilt not many miles ago. Head was replaced as well as injectors.....can't remember if they were new or re-man.....
Every once in a while it will miss and blow bluish gray smoke...worse when it's cold.....i just adjusted the valves/injectors/jake and it still does it......i'm sure it's 1 or more of the injectors messing up.....#6 is 20 deg. colder than all of the others
Can i just replace the injector without calibrating?
Should they all be re-calibrated?
Thanks
