6ts ecm to 6nz

    Hey guys, I have a older 6ts ecm (no personality module 40 pin) and everyone says they can’t tune it because it doesn’t have a personality module. So I have a 6NZ ecm, and I bought a 40 pin to 70 pin converter. Now I am being told that it won’t work because the 6ts engine has the crank sensor in the motor and the 6NZ ecm has it in it. Any recommendations on what to do? Thanks!

    6nz ecm won't work on your motor without changing cam gear and crank gear, front cover and engine harness.
    6ts uses only a cam sensor where 6nz has a cam and crank sensor.
    For the 40 pin ecm there was some originaly that had a removable personality module and those if it still has the original one in it can't be flashed or can be bricked, but I've only ever seen them on 5ek's. All the 6ts ECM's ive seen are the newer style 40 pin with on board personality modules and are no problem to flash. So from what you are saying I'm not sure what the issue is with your 40pin.
