Yeah that's him. Unfortunately he closed his service center back at the end of the year which I wasn't aware of till last week, but they still do injector rebuilds. They'll ship you new ones and you send your old ones back as core returns. I was going to let them do the work and just let them fix and re-install my injectors but I will probably just have them ship me a set and I'll have my local Ford truck shop do the install.

He was towed behind a 7.3.

The 6.0 was by FAR the worst engine Ford ever put in a truck, then they decided to push the envelope of badness and put a 6.4 in it for a while. That thing was horrible too, then they went with this 6.7 which is ok but SOO expensive to repair and cannot be rebuilt. Navistar designed the 7.3 to be re-sleeved and rebuilt easily.

I love my 7.3. The only reason the #### thing wound up in the shop was because a rat got under the hood and chewed all the wiring.

I put a new chrome aftermarket grill on it, and got rid of the cheap plastic matte black thing that came with it. Gave it new spunk!

The idea of ever having to put an engine in a newer 6.7 Ford or any of the others is only one of the several reasons I've had little interest in ever owning one.

I actually would run an 05-07 6.0 if it was spec'ed perfectly for what I wanted to do with it. Those are very fixable and a lot of trouble with those was people tuning them to death.

05-07 years are ok ? I did not know that ! I should give them consideration as the 7.3’ s are getting higher and more difficult to find. Thanks I will investigate.
