Does such an antenna exist? The longest I can find readily available is a 5' version I already own.

Bought one from the cb shop up in Wytheville couple years back.

    Had it on a freightliner.

Just to be clear, this was a tunable tip, not a cut-to-tune version, right?

I have a skipshooter. I don't like how much it flexes and bounces, even with a PVC pipe over it. I liked the rigidity and stability of my 5' Firestik and was hoping to get my hands on a tunable tip 7' version. The 5' though doesn't have nearly the same range as the 7' skipshooter.

1591545287591-1071427619.jpg Keep in mind,if its more ridgid it strains yer mount...
That 7ft ss dont flex as much as the 102" on a 10"riser does..lol

I have a super heavy duty stud installed from Right Channel Radios. I had to widen the hole in my ProComm mount to get the nylon washer the stud comes with to fit. Used a precision drill bit. It's just aluminum so it drilled like butter; gotta go slow and steady, checking it every few seconds to see if you've got it large enough.

Still, would like to find a rigid 7' top loaded.

On your 102" whip and 10" riser mounted on your mirror, how are you not over 13' 6" when it's standing up?

Sorry maybe it wasn't a tuneable tip,I know it didnt need adjusting tuned right in.

Im in a volvo now,and was using skipshooter's on the mirrors, until one snapped at the base.Have a couple at home waiting on me.

    Right now,I have wilson 2000's up,and I haven't been really impressed.

But I've owned firestik, and to me the skipshooter gets out better.
