My interpretation of this, NOT being a professional truck driver, is this:

    1) resets are 34 hours, (1 full day plus 10 hours)

    2) It would probably be no earlier than 7:00 P.M. the first day to 5:00 A.M. two days later.
    a) 7:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. - 1st. day - 24 hours
    b) 7:00 P.M. to 5:00 A.M.- 2nd. day - 10 hours
    Total---------------------------------------------- 34 hours

    3) It would probably be no later than 1:00 A.M. the first day to 11:00 A.M. two days later.
    a) 1:00 A.M. to 1:00 A.M. - --1st. day - 24 hours
    b) 1:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. - 2nd. day - 10 hours
    Total------------------------------------------------- 34 hours

Where this sucks is...You get parked at 1:01 am, then you don't get the restart... The other side(example 1) you can just stay an extra minute.(ie 6:59-4:59) just stay until 5:00

32 years ago i was taught that you log to the nearest quarter hour so 1:01 is 1:00 . until they make you log to the minute i will continue to log anything 7 minutes and under as the lower numbered quarter hour increment 8 minutes or more as the upper quarter hour . so 1:07 is 1:00 1:08 is 1:15 simple as that .

    Green_20 Thanks this.

Not all of us are fortunate to have a coloring book. I am a company driver and am on E-logs. Even a person with paper logs that knew they were gonna take a 34 hour, if they got there at 1:20, they're gonna most likely log it as 1:00 so they get the re-start.

Nah, they'd probably make it so they got there at no later than 1245. ;)

I almost always head in with my reefer unit not to bother you guys. TA and Petro have your best interest at heart. They are now charging $12 for reserved parking so you can gain an hour a day. Aint it nice that they hook us right up? :(
