READ THE NEW RULES -
OK. I was RIGHT up to June 31, 2013.
I didn't know that had happened. I went to school 3 years ago and just started driving 2 months ago.
I edited one post to offer an apology. -
With one day off, one cannot be On Duty before 5:00 am.
With 2 days off, one can start again before 5:00 am.
This is BS. -
If I may give a little advice, I know that sounds good on the surface. But it sounds like you want to live to work, instead of working to live. That will burn you out quick.hardworkinman Thanks this.

This is starting to sink in. I have no problem going forward. I only drive 5 days a week. But my logs the past 2 months, I have only been compliant with the rules prior to July 1, 2013. I better go 6+ months w/o an audit or I may be up the creek without a paddle.hardworkinman Thanks this.

Thats right. He would only get a reset every other two days off after meeting the STUPID 168 hour rule
hardworkinman Thanks this. -
It is no real surprise.
I ran with a driver who had no clue on the change to the 34 and had even been lucky to have not been checked during a roadside.
Another driver was logging the mandatory break of 30 minutes as on duty not driving and taking 34 breaks each week whenever had 34 hours off.
Another driver did not know about the 1 to 5 requirement on the breaks.
I believe this to be an area of great issue to many drivers.
Glad to be of help.hardworkinman and BROKENSPROKET Thank this. -
With the new rules, the 34 hour restart has to be at the home terminal!?!?!?!
One can no longer do a 34 Hour Restart at any place other than home. I want to swear so bad.
Now it would be a HOS violation if I unloaded in Florida, parked the truck at a truck stop and had Enterprise pick me up, check into a hotel, do whatever I wanted the next day. The second morning, go back to the truck stop where Enterprise would pick up the car and just go back to work.
Now, under the New rules, that would be an HOS violation. That is royally ########## up.hardworkinman Thanks this. -
Rest easy.
HOME TERMINAL TIME.BROKENSPROKET and hardworkinman Thank this.
