Where did you hear that? Cite your resource please. I took a 34 on the road at a truck stop 2 weeks ago. It need to have 1-5 for 2 night based on home terminal time zone, but you don't have to be home from what i understand. if im wrong, please cite your source.

You are correct. Some people seem to interpret home terminal time as having to be at home. It's just a reiteration that 1am-5am has to be taken the same as your home terminal time zone time, like the rest of your logging.

    hardworkinman Thanks this.

Does Texas maybe have specific HOS rules for the oil fields like California does for ag haulers?

The fed dot does have oil field specific regs you if I rember correctly earn a reset after 24 hours pending you operate a oil/ specialized cmv , but read the regs for sure , learn to check the regs and don't operate on hear say , it won't work when the drunk hits ya to say "they" said this or that , read the regs follow them and you will be fine , as far as I rember oil field also has a provision for logging off duty when waiting for load ect so you would be " legally " preserving your 60/70 hour clocks ect.read the regs. They are in the green safety book that should be in your truck anyway , pick one up at most truck stops , my.02¢
