I avoided Joplin and St. Clair and hit Terre Haute and Michigan when the scales were closed.

I'd say it's time well spent. I would rather be spending extra time on back roads than spending money at the chicken house on some BS.
Indeed. I do it as much as possible too. Especially if it helps me avoid a toll road also.
