I suggested to my brother that he make it an app. I'm sure someone will if they haven't already. I'm just hoping it can be useful for my dispatch and other drivers I work with. Dispatch says they "intend" to give us a restart each week and many of my coworkers claim they still want it. Personally, I don't think it will always be feasible? We're already on eobr's so my prediction is that we'll be recapping most of the time with this new rule. I think what it will eventually come to is instead of the usual 34 hour restart, it will be "hey, you've had 24 hours off -just run on a recap". I don't see my company letting us sit for 51+ hours for a reset :-\

It may not be working with your browser. The start time should be adjustable. It's a simple code and my bro says he's open sourced it on github if anyone else wants access to it. If anyone in here is a coder just let me know and I'll point you to it.

Start time is adjustable which is good since it's basing current time on a time zone none of us will be operating in.

No offense intended but this is useless. Anyone who thinks they have a use for this would be better off reading up on the rule. It's not complicated enough to require an app.

lol, it does work though. The only gripe I can come up with is how it's getting the current time.

You may want to put a disclaimer in there warning people that it's only valid if 168 hours have passed since the start of the last reset.

Just wait for the confusion when someone starts a reset November 3rd at 01:59. If they had only waited one more minute for the time change to kick in. :biggrin_2559:

who has to be "good at math"?
    The re-set is 34 hours.
Add 36 hours (1 1/2 days) to your stop-time and subtract 2 hours.

You're not taking into account the new rule that says a re-set has to have two periods of 1:am to 5:am. Which means it could take 51+ hours to get a valid re-start on your 70. Other restrictions are that we can only do this once per 168 hours. Also, I don't work for prime BTW ;-)

Right, example though. If you start reset at 1900 on Friday, your 34 hour reset will end at 0500 on Sunday. You can start the next reset at 1900 on the next Friday. That is the best scenario.
