Most days I will drive over/past three or five scales in a day. But my loads were cooperative this week. I crossed one scale twice. Once as a bobtail and they stopped me to weigh. And once loaded and they sent all of us down the bypass lane. Today all were locked up. Around chicago they did pop up the week after last year. But only a few locations. Mikeeee
there's an online artice by overdrive.com. says govt funded. 10,000 inspectors, 1500 checkpoints. i haven't seen anything.
Overdrive isn't what it once was . I quit reading it months ago after they continually promoted UShip and wrote articles promoting Shipping Wars . No wonder they quit charging for it and have to give it away .
I made it through with zero inspections. I did dodge one scale in IL, but only because of CB reports that it was busy and backed up, and I needed to get loaded ASAP in order to get to my delivery appointment on time with the hours I had left.
i've mever read it. i just stumbled upon it on google for something else. there was another article on the web also. pretty much the same story. so it could be truth. could be fiction. 10,000 inspectors and 1500 checkpoints though, i'd say is fiction. cuz arizona, new mexico, and cali were the only states doing anything on this side of the country.
