don't think anybody cares about your opinion, since after all, you're an ex-truck driver. you're upset about running a 62 mph governed truck 72+ and being canned, but are actually talking sense by saying you wouldn't use a jake in rain.

my mentor never let me use the cruise or the jake. Figured they were both AIDS to do your job, not required tools. Figure if you rely on the jake all the time, or the cruise, you lose any edge you may get for truck control. jake/cruise are tools to be used as such.

No not upset, dont care much. (they hired me in 5 min) This is my first and last year driving. Just giving a heads up.

Besids: If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much space.

Don't they have like 18000 trucks or some ridiculous amount like that? And don't they turnover a large number of drivers every day? And they couldn't get you in a working truck, sure.

had a Swifty pass me going down Sam's gap one time, I was doing 35, he was doing close to 70, brakes smoking, 9 out of 18 tires touching the ground on the curves.

Ya notice how if some people live too close to the edge they just fall off?

Are you giving up already? Quitter (unless you've found something better). If not, give truck driving another shot! Once you've gotten past the first two years, things get better. Save money for your own truck, and you can go wherever you're accepted.

I think that he created this thread to get a raise out of us and look he did! 79 hits in 5 hours! This has got to be a record unless some hottie posts a nude picture looking for a team mate! LOL
