I not only drove thru this foolish brainwash era but I drove before Nixon forced his California BS on the nation, but in all my years I've driven pretty much the same, as the speed limit is just a piece of metal with numbers on it. I try to use common sence and not be ruled by some political idiot.

All good reading on this topic. My comfort level now days is 64 to 67 mph. Back B/4 2003 I did not need eye glass, if in any truck at that time that could go faster I was all in. Just not into showing off anymore, maybe its my age.

If you're traveling in a rig with a big bad attitude , and saying it's my right to not have to adjust my speed so you may merge , or move over when the lane is open to do so you are not a professional ," know " that my choice of words is what it is , and because this is a public forum I won't say what I really think of those guilty of these shenanigans .

I'm sorry to be so harsh , but fact is fact. I've been in situations that the on ramp I'm on is same level with the 65mph interstate. Also with a clear view of traffic for almost 2000ft to my rear. The ramp is 1200 ft long or better. I'm at 60 and gaining approaching the last 500 ft and a truck running 70 that's been able to see me for almost a half mile refuses to let up , now as I'm almost 65 I have to shut it down completely cause I can see this menace behind the wheel of a rig , is as negligent as I would be if I held my own at this point. So I display the professionalism shutting it down so this _____ , can continue being an ______.

I got news for those of you that travel with that big A__ chip on your shoulder . It's only a matter of time until you kill someone , and you're here peeing and moaning that you can't find a job after getting release from Job/Jail.

Yes the laws says that it's your responsibility to merge safely , the law also says it's your responsibility to not drive like a jerk , promoting , encouraging and daring people to just try it.

So if he can see you for "1/2 mile" that means you can also see him and you should be adjusting your speed to slide in behind him right? Not expecting him to slow down for you after all its you responsibility to merge. Maybe if you wouldn't try to race trucks and cars that are already going with the flow you wouldn't "have to shut it down completely"

no "last1", time was we looked out for each other. you see another loaded truck coming down the ramp, you moved over or something to let him get on. it wasn't this one way attitude.

I do move over if able, but I will not come to a crawl on the highway to let someone on when there is room for him to slide in behind me if he was only paying attention and not trying to force his way in front of me. It's the whole, you must slow down and let me in crowd, that has things so screwed up on the highway nowadays. The drivers that don't even look until they are almost to the end of the ramp than try to force their way in are the ones I will not accommodate.

I want to know why the heck are you on the highway where the speed limit is 65-70 when there is a state road where the speed limit is 40-60. And don't give me that height limit crap because it's a state road.
