2013 VOLVO D13. Happened twice in last month and half. Seems like large amount of fuel dripping inside and outside of 7th injector on defuser, smoking and dripping from exhaust clamps between flex pipe&defuser...does it for little bit then goes away... Went ahead and replaced new 7th injector. Did it for minute then stoped leaking and smoking.
Wow.......2 times and that didn't seem important enough to have it fixed immediately? Kcuf it right!!! Let the insurance sort it out once the truck goes up in flames. Good times.......keeping up on maintainence is for seissup.
Try a new gasket in between the down pipe and flex pipe in addition to checking the injector. That gasket fails on my truck every year. Easy enough to do - Just make sure the ring inside is seated properly when you put it back together.
