I met a guy that worked for Stevens who ran 8.5 everyday for 72 days & never ran out of hours. I did the math with him & it really did workout. "HE HAS NO LIFE"
OMG that is what is wrong i have been out 70 days one reset and have 22 hours at midnite I HAVE NO LIFE.........sigh
Ok, question for the 8.75 crowd... What kind of mileage are you seeing on average? I'm relatively new and learning more daily. I still don't have a preferred way to run, I just hate sitting still. They give me a load and I can figure out in five minutes if I can make my stops. In less than fifteen I can put in my rest stops and find out what times I'm going into large cities. it's the days here you're at a shipper, a receiver, and never mind a busy truck wash trying to get a washout done on te trailer... Those days make me run ten and eleven hours because three trips a week just doesn't do it for me.
that wont stop it until its been 8 hours or more. trust me . stuck at receiver for 4 hours today and it didnt stop it. it keeps moving and moving even on off duty
if i'm not running out my hours and doing a reset. then i'm not making money. therefore i would have no life either.
how come y our quote and my quote have different posters making the comments. and quit following me around on here.
Who ever sold you on this idea must have been pretty slick. DOT/FMCSA is not concerned in particular to your wages nor supply/demand of market. That example is why they have the new HOS for 2013...which I hope gets thrown out. One reset per 7 day period & the reset has to cover two 1 am- 5 am periods. *I think*
