Sounds like a lot of conspirousy theories to me. If you can't make a living, running legal, why are you even here? Too screw it up for those of us that can?

It's the politicians in the pocket influencing FMCSA that are screwing it up .

It's also a lot of our fellow drivers that can't seem to run by the rules, already in place, so the regulators keep coming up with stricter rules.

    CAXPT Thanks this.

Also incompetent safety departments that can't detect violations and get nailed during an audit .

I will, and not to sound cold hearted, but my business is not responsible for yours. The more that can't make a living, legally, and get put out, just makes it better for us that can. Just a fact of life.

8.75 hours x 8 days = 70 hours. Be really careful to maintain speed limit and make as few stops as possible. Hopefully, the company that you are working for goes along with all this. Hypothetically, 8.75 hours at 60 miles an hour = 525 miles. 525 miles x 7 days = 3675 miles. 525 miles x 8 days = 4200 miles. I said hypothetically, NOT realistically.

Not even hypothetically possible . Figure 3.5 hours for inspections in 7 days . Do you not even drop and hook ? run 4,000 miles without delays due to construction or accidents ?
If you want to run less than 9 hours a day so you can work every day go for it . Some of us would rather run up close to 70 in 5 days and take a couple of days off .

    LaBubba Thanks this.
