I keep waiting to see a new longer version of the cx11 but haven't seen or heard anything. Dealers seem to be pairing 264 wheelbase tractors with the same trailer and claiming to be about 78 feet long. Anyone heard or seen anything?

I just ordered 2 264 wheel base 58" sleeper cx11. The longer you get the harder to turn and the heavier they get. You gain in length but lose in payload ability. We run regional North East and load accordingly.

    Terry270 and Tropsnart Thank this.

Yes and no on the weight with length. Tractor is a 2007 265 WB and 2012 CX-11.
It's just under 43000 empty. Dropped 1500 lbs when I dropped the CS-12LTB.

I talked to the Cottrell dealer in Virginia who has a 264" wheelbase Peterbilt and cx11 with approximately 1/2 tanks of fuel it weighed in at 44.5k. My guess is that headrack on yours @sxdime makes a huge difference.
@Ziggy319 did you order the new cx11 80 ft. version that I was told will begin being built later this summer? My fear with buying an off the lot 78ft. truck is that 5 years from now it'll be obsolete and difficult to sell. Being from the rust belt , I want no part of a keep it forever plan.
Another thing that I was concerned about is which states will be a pain to deal with concerning the new rules. Has everyone adopted them in the northeast? I know there okay in NY now but our number 1 customer asked us to start going to carhaul hell , the great state of Connecticut.

@Tropsnart Yes the headrack does make a difference. Mine has a Carterbuilt. The other weight savings on the trailer is the 19.5's and my rear bottom deck is manual. I've heard (don't have the facts) that the manual rear bottom deck over the hydraulic slide and lift deck saves 800 lbs.

    Ziggy319 and Tropsnart Thank this.

Apparently we'll be going to East Windsor CT every couple of weeks. The dealer might need to start buying more than a few cars at each sale for us to run that far east.

You should drop the sleeper and get the 4 car head rack, more versatile and you don't really need the sleeper anymore.
