Bottom line is, there are no truck tires being produced by any manufacturer that are rated for speeds over 75mph!

I do not drive 80 or care to. Have I ever yes,way over 80 on 36 tires but that was a long time ago in a far off place. Triple digit trucks.:biggrin_2553:

There's a couple 22.5 wheel sized tires I've seen with 81 mph ratings, but they seemed to be limited to the 12R22.5 and 315/80R22.5 sizes mostly used for bus service. I'm guessing there will be 81 mph rated tires in the more popular truck sizes before too long.

Did you drop your cargo at the first sign of an Imperial star cruiser too?

The speed on my truck is gov. to 72 MPH by my choice. Why. Cause I would run 85 MPH just because I feel the need, the need for speed!

Texas is building a new highway out of Austin and they are looking at 85 MPH speed limit on it.

What is the reasoning for making such fast speed limits?
