No. Spec. 525. I'm all about long term reliability. I like to run it easy. Just have to get up a little earlier in the morning.
What KVB said makes alot of sense. That was what I said to Cummins. Looking at KVB's graphs, it really supports the fact I am seeing 85% max.
Happy to think it's running right.

I don't know how exactly these gauges are set up, but they read data from the J1939 CAN-bus.

There are several parameters in J1939 to indicate torque percentage.

The 2 most common used are:
    upload_2018-10-12_6-41-49.png

    upload_2018-10-12_6-42-35.png

My guess is that the gauge is showing the PGN61444 / SPN513, Actual Engine Percent Torque, which is also the parameter shown in my graphs.

I don't know how curious or desperate you are to find out, but an easy way is to hook up Insite, or another J1939 reader (for example SnapOn/Blue Point pocket IQ), take truck for a drive and compare the gauge with the readings in the J1939 reader. Maybe you have something like that, or know somebody who has.
Parameters to watch are the PGN 6144 / SPN 513 and PGN 61443 / SPN 92.

If your gauge matches the PGN6144 / SPN 513 readings, 85% is most probably the highest you will ever see, unless you uprate the engine to 2050 torque.

The reading on the gauge will probably come down from the 85%, once the rpm's go above approximately 1500 (and you keep accelerating at full "throttle" and full load on the engine (in high gear), and no speed limiter cutting the engine back), similar to the ISX500/1850 graph (last graph) in my previous post

Sorry if I go into details of the J1939 too much.....

If anything it would make the torque % higher overcoming all that internal friction :D

Oxbow, Cam Roberts and Hegemeister Thank this.

Yes. It drops once I reach about 1600 or so.
Looks like you have this covered. You know more than anyone I spoke to at the dealer, Kenworth, or Cummins.
Thank you for all your help!

My 2016 isx only show 85% torque too, it will not go up after the break in, but mine start pulling after 60k wait little bit. Also ecm gauge are not right, my
Dpf show zero from 0 to 400k

    Hegemeister Thanks this.

Back in the day when you had a fresh engine overhaul, all the shop mechanics use to tell you, “Don’t baby it, drive it hard so everything can seat”......

All the old school mechanics I've worked with have said to me to not baby it, drive it like you normally do.

By u saying it started pulling after 60k did u notice a good bit better pulling power and a increase in mpg? I have a 2019 model yr Pete 565/1850 w/18spd 3.25 rears 24.5LP rubber 34.5k on the odometer. Had truck since 17miles on the clock I noticed when I first got it trq gauge only would show 70% went up in steps took about to the 12-15k mark before it was up to the 85% that it’s at currently. Other day boost peaked to 32 on a looonnnnggggg pull grossed but only for a select few rpm then dropped back to the normal 29
