I have a 85 W900B with a 3406 Cat. The yellow parking brake valve wont stay engaged. I can hold it in and drive the truck. Sometimes I can get it to stay in for a few minutes, but then it will leak for about 2 seconds then pop out on me, then i just hold it by hand for a while. Ill try to let off and if I dont hear it leak then it will stay but eventually leak then pop out. I had a brake chamber leaking and thought that was it, changed the chamber and nothing changed. I dont have any audible air leaks. Could it just be the valve on the dash needs to be replaced?

You need new O rings on the spool valve.. or a new valve. ASAP.. like MORE than ASAP

It has a third one but its not blue, its just metal. Im guessing its supposed to be blue. Ive tried putting them in together and nothing. What is the blue one used for? I dont ever use it.

If I recall Blue button was tractor only but I thought both had to be in. Is this a recent problem that has just turned up? If it is something that has just come up, as others above has stated replace the valve. A lot of todays replacement parts are no longer repairable.

Yeah I believe you had to charge the system with the yellow button first, then use the blue button for the tractor and red for the trailer.

If you have no obvious and serious leaks, chances are the dash valve is done.

Blue was an emergency system that has its own air tank/supply. It was only used to get the truck to move a VERY short distance to clear traffic etc
