"Little info here…. If you want to build more horses with a Detroit / GM diesel, you will need a bypass blower as well as the turbo and bigger injectors."
I'm going to spend some time looking into this and reply back. Here are some links I've come across so far (been a busy day so I'm just now getting to it.) Thank you for the direction. I'm wondering if a twin-screw supercharger would create some type of negative vacuum or back pressure issues because of its higher efficiency as a (or the) possible reason they aren't used as a performance upgrade (could be related to this bypass as well). I'm enjoying this so my apologies if my thoughts on this set up are a bother.

What exactly is the application you want to build one for? Working truck, sled puller, or just a toy…?cke, Another Canadian driver and Oxbow Thank this. -
When I look at a twin screw supercharger, it looks pretty much the same thing as an 871 blower. Not seeing an advantage here.

Twin Screw vs. Roots | Kenne Bell
tl;dr: The twin screw compresses the air internally between the rotors, the Roots just moves it around the outside of the rotors and "stacks" the air into the manifold to compress it.Another Canadian driver, RockinChair, Oxbow and 3 others Thank this. -

Indeed. Even a little 736 cubic inch 92 can push 600 horses in a marine application….cke, Another Canadian driver, AModelCat and 3 others Thank this. -
