I run grade 100 1/2" chains. 4 direct tie covers a 60K load............but I guess if you haul for Haliburton you are exempt.

Even with your fifth wheel all the way forward you still don't hit the frame?

I moved those Taylor's from Wyoming up to Dickinson for Halliburton about 8 years ago. I legaled them on 1 3 3 1 by turning them around and loading the rear wheels up on the first bolster. You've got the heavy end forward and not enough deck to get away from it so you are definitely going to be heavy on the front especially with that booster moving weight.

WLL of 15,000lbs per chain which equals 30,000lbs in DOT law….but who actually reads those things.

And you need to turn it around and get more weight on the steer. That fifth wheel needs to be about six inches behind center of the pusher. Your well is too short to turn it around with those forks. So I suggest you get the jeep out and put the neck down.

168k gross less what, say 60k tare means your load is 108ish. Maybe your tare is more, but I can't imagine over 70k without your jeep. I can see fudging WLL with a tracked machine on a dry deck, but something on rubber you are asking to be the highlight on another thread here in my opinion.

It looks like you are running your fifth wheel almost all the way back with a tri drive. Doesn't make sense to me, but if you're not concerned with securement I don't know why you are worried about weight.

my question is why not just run the jeep? Just pull the big neck onto the jeep to unload - less time than screw around sliding here and blocking there. And it would take of axle weights and leave time for securement…. And if the $$ doesn’t support it - then perhaps a re-bid is in order. Or send a swamper to assist in the loading/unloading/tiedown.

or just run it on 7 axles and screw the permits…it is oilfield work after all and rules rarely apply.

just my opinion- I don’t run in the oilfield and don’t buy the it’s the oilfield
