Theres not a whole lot we can do on here to teach you how to back up. I think the best thing you can do is hit up Youtube and watch some instructional videos. Also, watch some of the videos like "Werner driver backing fail" or whatever, to see what NOT to do.

I sometimes imagine that that trailer is a car and the drive are the front wheels. But sometimes it doesn't help cause my trailer is straight once I am done but the truck is a little off to the side.

Is it more difficult with tandems at the rear of the trailer? With reefers and dry vans. The tandems have some balanced weight on top. It’s not all to the front of the tandems.
Here’s an example. Please criticize.
When I cut a back hard. It seems to take a lot to get back under and backing straight. It endlessly wants to keep turning. I have to hold off and not cut too much. Then I can get back under reasonably. This is a tanker with tandems at full rear. -
Back your trailer using the rear most tandem tire as the guide, not the rear end of the trailer. Do that, you can stick a trailer anywhere you want and at any angle.

Buy a basic video game truck simulator in 3D, it usually has a pretty good modeling for backing up a trailer if you are so inclined.
