Hey new to the forum! been a long time browser though.

Working on a 2006 9200 with an ISX in it. Speedometer will not work, Gauge will cycle through system check then the needle points down to 6 o'clock. Ive read that this means there is a sensor issue. I've replaced the speed sensor located on the transmission with 2 new sensor's. Has not fixed the issue. No visible cracks, or cuts with the wiring or the plug to the sensor. I've got maybe 2 ohms at the ECU plug and senor plug for both leads could be the meter reading wrong.

    Any input is much appreciated

I would maybe try replacing speedometer. I just did a search on Ebay "9200 speedometer" and it came up with some hits.

Retest the circuit at the ECM. Disconnect the ECM connector and check resistance between the two terminals. The resistance through the speed sensor should be something like 800 to 2400 ohms. Also check each terminal for any shorts to ground. Lots of places to rub through.

I'm getting a Over limit reading on the meter when testing the through the terminals with the sensor connected.

    Short or bad sensor again?

Wiring or terminals inside the connector at the ECM or sensor.

Sorry, what I meant to say was the problem is likely wiring or the terminals inside the connector bodies. Do not replace the sensor again.

Yea, so ive pulled the entire harness apart trying to find a short. No luck, re-wired the Speed Sensor Connector still no good. The ECU plug looks perfect starting to think the ECU may be bad. Truck has over 600K not sure if the company will shell out the money for a new ECU.

Is there another similar truck you could swap ECMs for a test?
