I need to do the same to mine. Put o rings and gasket in it 9 yrs ago. Cooler’s still original. Guess I’ll swap it out anyways. My mechanic begged me to let him replace it, during the inframe. Can’t believe it’s never gone bad. Last 2 Trucks oil coolers leaked about 700k.

    JoeyJunk Thanks this.

So got the new part in yesterday, had to dump coolant... again to get the oil filter housing off. Even with that, it was only a 3.5 hr job.

Then began a 3.5 hr fight to get her started. At the end of that, it turns out my brand new cam position sensor was bad/my truck simply would not read, I had the thought, well, lets change it back to how it was before i took out the radiator, fired right up... boy am i annoyed at that.

Did get an in line sight glass and ive got a ton of air coming through between tank and water seperator, so Ill be chasing that issue this weekend.

Anyone have a better fuel pickup tube than 4state trucks? Had a ton of air coming through fuel line, capped driver side at fuel tank, no air.

The whole setup (tanks lines tubes etc) were brand new 1 year ago. (Tanks/tubes from 4 state)

    Rideandrepair and JoeyJunk Thank this.

Its fine, nothing special dealer was asking 25k

6ts cat with 475 hp. Nearly 0 blowby, ive seen more on a fresh rebuild.
Supposedly rebuilt 250k/7 years ago, but no paperwork. Was a local home daily truck delivering lumber around evansville. I beleive the rebuild at 250k, but its not worth anything technically since theres no warranty even if i had paperwork

Rockwell rmx9 (9 speed transmission, .72 final overdrive)
    3.73 rockwell rears
Interaxle diff lock only, not full lockers
Low pro 22.5s on alum outers, steel inners, new steers, 50% no-name tires, but should last till june (if not ill just steal my good toyo set of drives from other truck)
Ac even works, blower not great
    30" "flat roof sleeper"
    Twin 120 gal tanks.
Terrible paint job, but cant tell till 10 foot away.

Bunch of annoyances, things i need to fix, change to make me happy, but its probably worth what im paying and can easily pay for itself in less overall downtime within a year (this will be 2nd truck for me, other is running, but needs a few things that i cant/wont do myself, and those things will take time at a shop, this way i can maintain revenue)

Prepping 2nd set of binders/chains, cleaned em all up, removed screws, and lubed with white lithium grease.

One red hook, rest in yellow, all directionally oriented per the screws.

A farm pin chucked into a drill works a treat to zip out the screws. Cleaning internal threads, chucked in a toothbrush, dont have a long enough wire brush small enough to fit inside
